DIC EXPO 2023, the China (Shanghai) International Display Technology and Application Innovation Exhibition, was held grandly at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from August 29 to 31. Focusing on the entire industrial chain of the display industry, more than 300 companies from upstream and downstream of the industry chain gathered together, showcasing new products, technologies, and concepts in display technology. Among them, Hunan Qibin Electronic Glass Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Qibin Electronic") showcased its high-performance electronic glass products at the Shanghai International Display Technology and Application Innovation Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as "DIC Display Exhibition").
At the exhibition site, Qibin Electronic highlighted its "Qishark" series. It is understood that the "Qishark" AT1 series glass is a chemically strengthened ultra-thin ultra-white high-aluminum cover glass specially applicable for vehicle display equipment protection. It has excellent optical properties, good transmittance, ultra-high mechanical strength, outstanding scratch resistance, and is easy to bend and form. Due to its superior optical properties, it can replace traditional thick glass to achieve weight reduction and high strength, while also alleviating the problem of HUD ghosting.
In addition, Qibin Electronic also exhibited a series of products including ultra-thin high-aluminum automotive glass AM1, ultra-thin high-aluminum flexible glass FT1, and deep double-strong high-aluminum glass HS9, which can be widely applied in various fields such as mobile phones, automobiles, smart wearables, etc. It is reported that Qibin Electronic glass has good transmittance, ultra-high mechanical strength, and excellent processing performance, greatly improving its scratch and drop resistance, attracting a large number of exhibitors to consult and discuss.
It is understood that the localization of electronic glass is currently accelerating, but the localization rate is still relatively low. Zhang Zhicheng, Marketing Director of Qibin Electronics, said in an interview with the media that the current localization rate of boro glass used in electronic consumer goods is about 30%, with most still relying on imports. With the company's significant investment in research and development in recent years, this gap is narrowing. For example, Qibin Electronics has already completed the development of deep double-strong glass products, which can match the leading products of domestic and foreign peers. Subsequently, we will release the product according to market conditions. In addition, Qibin Electronics has also made good progress in the development of easy-to-bend automotive glass, which has completed development and sample production trials. This product will fill the gap in high-strength easy-to-bend automotive glass, ensuring strength while effectively solving problems such as low heat bending yield rate and high cost.
