Coventry started using Highfield Road as their home ground in 1899, but it wasn't until 1937 that they purchased it as their own property. Highfield Road has a rich history, including being bombed during World War II, the main stand being burnt down in 1968 due to a fire, and becoming the first all-seater stadium in England in 1983 with a capacity of approximately 25,000 spectators. The stadium renovation was completed in the mid-1990s. The last match at Highfield Road took place on April 30, 2005, with Coventry winning 6-2 against Derby County, marking the end of a century-long history at the stadium. In the 2005-06 season, Coventry finally moved from the 106-year-old Highfield Road stadium to the Ricoh Arena, which can accommodate 32,000 spectators.

The Ricoh Arena is the home stadium of Coventry City Football Club. It is located in the Rowleys Green district of Coventry, West Midlands, England, covering over 40 acres. Inside, there is a football stadium that can hold 32,609 spectators, a 6,000 square meter exhibition hall, a hotel, a leisure club, and a casino. It is also the site of the largest Tesco Extra supermarket in the UK, known as the Arena Park Shopping Centre. This area was previously the Foleshill Gasworks. Japanese company Ricoh acquired a ten-year naming rights sponsorship worth £10 million, but during the 2012 Olympics when it was one of the main venues, the stadium was renamed the Coventry City Stadium due to a ban on naming sponsorships. Additionally, the Ricoh Arena is a 'smoke-free stadium'.
