Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre(ADNEC)
Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre(ADNEC)
The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, is a hyperbolic tower-shaped building serving as the city's exhibition center. It is the second largest exhibition center in the Middle East.
The government of Abu Dhabi Emirate has identified "business, tourism, conferences, and exhibitions" as the central themes for the future development of Abu Dhabi's tourism industry. To promote international competition in exhibition service facilities, the Abu Dhabi government established the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) in 2005 as the government management agency and large event organizer for Abu Dhabi's exhibition industry. The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center is the exclusive exhibition venue of this company. It is the largest and most influential international exhibition in the Gulf region. Exhibitions such as the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) and the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition (ADIPEC) are regularly held at this exhibition center.
The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center enjoys a prime location, adjacent to Abu Dhabi's main hotels, office buildings, and commercial centers, and close to Abu Dhabi International Airport. Road transportation is well-developed around it, with a driving time of approximately 50 minutes to Jebel Ali and Dubai. The exhibition center comprises 7 interconnected exhibition halls covering a total area of 28000 square meters. In addition to the exhibition halls, there are 2 luxurious conference halls, 16 meeting rooms, and a dining area of 2000 square meters. Currently, the Phase II construction of the exhibition center, costing 158 million US dollars, has commenced. Upon completion, the usable exhibition hall area will be expanded to 55000 square meters. Additionally, a 21000 square meter audience reception hall, a 7500 square meter multi-functional hall, a conference banquet hall that can accommodate 1200 people, and more than 30 meeting rooms will be built. After completion, the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center will become the largest exhibition center in terms of area in the Middle East. The overall structure of the complex is U-shaped, with an open space in the middle that serves as a central landscape square for large outdoor events. The main building will be a towering skyscraper facing the sea, with a bold and dynamic architectural style that will serve as a landmark building promoting Abu Dhabi to the world.
