Putra World Trade Centre
Putra World Trade Centre
The太子世界贸易中心 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, spans over 170,000 square feet, with exhibition space covering 235,000 square feet (77,550 square meters). Known for its high level of personal service and flexible event management approach, it has become a preferred venue for local and international conventions. Construction began in 1988 and was completed in 1995. The building was officially opened on November 3, 1995, by then Indonesian Prime Minister B.J. Habibie during the first UMNO General Assembly. Since then, it has been a gathering place for the UMNO General Assembly. The PWTC is also used annually for the International Quran Recitation Competition.
Event organizers appreciate the quick turnaround for large and heavy objects through car ramps and freight elevators, giving them more freedom to determine the overall layout of events. A key factor that makes us the preferred choice for conventions and events is our location. The PWTC is the most majestic landmark in Kuala Lumpur and the only World Trade Center in Malaysia. It is also used for the annual International Quran Recitation Competition. The PWTC can be accessed via public transportation at the PWTC LRT station on the Ampang line or the PWTC KTM Komuter station on the Seremban line and the Port Klang line; it is within walking distance of several hotels such as the Kuala Lumpur Pacific Sari Hotel, Sunway Putra Hotel, Kuala Lumpur Dynasty Hotel, and Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur.
