Qingdao International Expo Center

The Qingdao International Expo Center is a large-scale, internationally oriented exhibition venue constructed with an investment of RMB 2 billion by Qingdao Changji Real Estate Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the nationally renowned Nanshan Group. It was designed by the U.S.-based firm NBBJ. Located along the Eastern Coastal Avenue in the Wenquan Subdistrict of Jimo District, Qingdao, the center adjoins Aoshan Bay to the south and lies approximately 50 kilometers from the Qingdao Municipal Government. It is easily accessible via road, light rail, yachts, and other transportation options, offering exceptional connectivity.

The expo center’s master plan encompasses four major functional zones, featuring north and south entrance halls, a multi‑purpose hall, and ten standard exhibition pavilions. The main structure adopts a single‑story steel framework, with a total floor area of roughly 220,000 square meters and a gross exhibition space of about 180,000 square meters. Indoor exhibition space accounts for approximately 120,000 square meters, capable of accommodating over 6,000 standard booths, while the outdoor exhibition area spans more than 60,000 square meters, complemented by ancillary facilities covering over 40,000 square meters.

As the largest international expo center currently serving northern China, the facility offers a comprehensive suite of services, including exhibitions, conferences, business support, and dining. It can host large‑scale specialized events such as industrial machinery and equipment fairs, as well as smaller, high‑end showcases for jewelry, luxury goods, and other premium sectors. Additionally, it is well‑suited to accommodate forums, meetings, and events of various scales, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors daily. The expo center and its surrounding area in Jimo are equipped with four- and five-star hotels, alongside a range of business‑oriented accommodations, providing lodging and dining capacity for tens of thousands of guests simultaneously. Extensive commercial and leisure amenities further enhance the region’s appeal. Moreover, the area’s rich natural and cultural attractions create an ideal environment for hosting large‑scale conferences and exhibitions, blending business opportunities with recreational tourism.
