Fortezza da Basso

The Fortezza da Basso exhibition center in Florence, Italy (Fortezza da Basso), is a fortress embedded in the 14th-century walls of Florence. Built from 1534 to 1537, it is the largest historical monument in Florence. Its official name is the Fortress of Saint John the Baptist (Fortezza di San Giovanni Battista). In modern times, it serves as the venue for many conferences, concerts, and domestic and international exhibitions, such as Pitti Immagine.
