It operates under a model that integrates exhibitions and conferences, promoting mutual growth between the two. Its development positioning is to "leverage Shanghai's leading role, differentiate from Suzhou's functions, and coordinate with Kunshan's industries", aiming to be a comprehensive service area integrating exhibition, trade, commerce, office, and conference functions. It forms a service system covering exhibition halls, technology, advertising, business, property management, etc., striving to become a western sub-center of the Shanghai (Hongqiao) National Convention and Exhibition Center and a leading convention and exhibition industry cluster in East China.
The Huqiao International Exhibition Center covers a total land area of 215,000 square meters and a total construction area of 124,000 square meters, with an actual usable exhibition and negotiation area of 100,000 square meters.
