The Exhibition Value of Host Milano
- Host Milano, the premier trade show for the hospitality and foodservice industries, is the largest and most influential event of its kind worldwide. Since its inception in 1962, it has been held biennially in Milan and is widely recognized as a global benchmark for the hotel supplies sector and a central hub for innovation in the international foodservice industry. Organized by Fiera Milano, the 44th edition in 2025 will bring together 2,050 exhibitors from 52 countries and regions, with international participants accounting for 44% of the total, thereby cementing its status as a world‑class industry standard.
- The core value of participation lies in its unparalleled ability to integrate the entire supply chain and its role as a platform that precisely connects exhibitors with global buyer networks. Each year, the show attracts more than 700 invited buyers from approximately 75 countries and regions, while its professional audience includes distributors, dealers, importers and exporters, catering operators, accommodation providers, shopping center managers, and other industry professionals. Overseas attendance has shown robust growth, with increases of 16% in Germany, 45% in Denmark, and 20%, 29%, 21%, and 27% respectively in Australia, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
- The exhibition offers a one‑stop commercial platform covering the entire hospitality and foodservice value chain. Exhibits span all categories, including specialized catering equipment, refrigeration and washing systems, bakery/pizza/pasta processing machinery, coffee/tea/bar equipment, ice cream and dessert production tools, interior design solutions, outdoor furniture, tableware, and more. A dedicated MIPPP zone—Milan’s Bakery–Pizza–Pasta Pavilion—brings together Italy’s leading technology firms and artisanal baking traditions, showcasing the full spectrum from traditional craftsmanship to cutting‑edge smart manufacturing.
- The show aligns with three major industry trends—sustainable innovation, digitalization, and cross‑sectoral integration—establishing itself as a high‑tech hub fostering deep collaboration among academia, industry, research institutions, and end users. As the first event at the Milan Exhibition Centre to fully implement an ESG strategy, Host Milano 2025 places environmental sustainability, innovation, and inclusivity at the heart of its competitive edge. Concurrent with the exhibition, nearly 800 industry‑specific events will take place, including top‑tier competitions such as the World Barista Championship, the Panettone World Championship, and the European Pizza Championship, bringing together approximately 3,000 industry leaders and experts to discuss the future direction of the hospitality sector.
- For Chinese enterprises, Host Milano serves as a strategic gateway to expand into European and global markets, connect with international resources, and showcase their innovative capabilities. Chinese exhibitors have gained prominence on the international stage through their technological prowess. Shanghai Baolutong Coffee Machines, making its debut at the show, presented its independently developed products that transition from household to commercial applications, with overseas business now accounting for 65% of its total revenue. With support from the Italian Trade Commission, the exhibition provides an efficient platform for Chinese companies to establish direct links with buyers from the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia‑Pacific region. Participating enterprises can leverage this platform to access key global procurement networks and seize early opportunities in the intelligent, green, and globally oriented transformation of the hospitality and foodservice industries.
