The Exhibition Value of the First Edition of Saudi Arabia’s Big 5 Construction Show
- One of the Largest and Most Influential Building and Construction Events in the Middle East: The Big 5 Construct Saudi, organized by DMG Events UK, has been successfully held for many consecutive editions since its inception in 2010. It ranks among the world’s top three building and construction exhibitions and is the premier specialized event in the Middle East. Backed strongly by the Saudi government and relevant authorities, and aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, it has become a vital platform connecting a market worth trillions. Starting in 2026, the show will adopt a new “twice-yearly” format: the January edition focuses on interior fit-out and final completion stages, while the May edition highlights heavy machinery, concrete, and other early‑stage construction sectors.
- A One‑Stop Showcase Covering the Entire Industry Chain: The January edition runs in tandem with three concurrent exhibitions—Windows, Doors & Facades Saudi Arabia, Marble & Stone Saudi Arabia, and Urban Design & Landscape Saudi Arabia—bringing together over 20,000 products and solutions. Exhibits span aluminum composite panels, curtain wall systems, various doors and windows, steel structures, fasteners, glass and cladding materials, stone products (granite, marble, engineered stone), stone processing equipment, sports venue facilities, artificial turf, outdoor landscape features, smart irrigation systems, hardscape elements, green walls, rooftop greening, and more—covering every link in the industry chain. From interior finishes to urban landscapes, from traditional building materials to cutting-edge smart solutions, exhibitors can seamlessly integrate product displays, brand exposure, and business negotiations.
- Precise Access to Key Buyers and Industry Resources in Saudi Arabia and Globally: The January 2026 edition will host over 1,100 exhibiting companies from more than 50 countries, featuring 12 national pavilions, including China, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, the UAE, the UK, and others. Kuwait makes its debut through the Public Authority for Industry, while the UAE participates for the first time via Dubai Exports. The event also attracts representatives from major Saudi projects such as Red Sea Global, Qiddiya, Diriyah Gate, AMAALA, New Murabba, and NEOM, as well as leading international architectural firms like SOM, Gensler, HOK, Perkins & Will, and KPF, alongside senior executives from industry giants including AECOM, Atkins, Al Bawani, El-Seif Engineering, Saudi Binladin Group, and ROSHN Group. Exhibitors gain direct access to some of the most influential purchasing decision-makers in Saudi Arabia and worldwide.
- Unique Value for Chinese Enterprises: A Strategic Engine for Expanding into Saudi Arabia and the Middle East: Saudi Arabia’s construction market is experiencing historic rapid growth, projected to maintain a steady annual expansion rate of around 4% from 2024 to 2027. Since the launch of Vision 2030, the Kingdom has earmarked approximately SAR 4.13 trillion (about USD 1.1 trillion) for infrastructure and real estate development. In the housing sector alone, the Ministry of Housing has announced plans to add over 555,000 new residential units nationwide. By the fourth quarter of 2024, the construction activity index had surged to a record high of 72%. Furthermore, Saudi Arabia is set to host global flagship events such as Expo 2030 and the 2034 FIFA World Cup, with plans to introduce more than 275,000 hotel rooms, over 4.3 million square meters of commercial retail space, and more than 6.1 million square meters of office space. The 2025 edition attracted over 2,000 companies from 60 countries, drawing more than 75,000 professional visitors. Through this platform, Chinese enterprises can showcase their proprietary technologies, connect with local buyers, and secure overseas orders, making the exhibition a cornerstone gateway for entering the Saudi market.
- A Vanguard for Technological Innovation and Industry Trends: Smart building systems, green building materials, energy‑efficient products, AI‑driven design, BIM technology, and digital manufacturing are among the hottest topics at the show. An EcoTrail zone showcases sustainable solutions, featuring high‑performance solar‑control glass, recycled aluminum door and window systems, low‑emission engineered wood products, and acoustical coatings with high recycling content. The Architect Leaders Forum brings together regional top architects and design leaders to discuss new chapters in Saudi Arabian design, practical innovations, and sustainable design approaches. Meanwhile, Big 5 Talks offers CPD‑accredited technical sessions covering sustainable materials, project management, curtain wall technologies, and more, while the CIAAD masterclass makes its debut, focusing on AI‑driven architecture and sustainable design.
- Deep Connections Between High‑End Forums and Industry Resources: Concurrent with the exhibition, the Architects Club—an exclusive gathering for invited professionals—provides a dedicated environment for advanced design practitioners to network and exchange ideas. The exhibitor lineup includes globally renowned brands such as Antolini (natural stone), Elite Stone (luxury Italian stone), CITCO (design‑driven stone), Schüco (high‑performance curtain wall systems), Alumil (aluminum building systems), Jotun (protective and decorative coatings), and White Helmet (smart safety technologies).
- Riyadh’s Geographical Location and Industrial Advantages: The exhibition is held at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center. As Saudi Arabia’s political and economic hub, Riyadh serves as a key implementation site for the “Vision 2030” initiative. Leveraging Saudi Arabia’s strategic position as the largest economy in the Middle East, Big 5 Construct Saudi provides exhibitors with a strategic platform to connect with both the Saudi market and the broader Gulf region.
