Sidus Space, Inc., a diversified space and data-as-a-service satellite company, successfully launched and deployed its LizzieSat™ satellite to low Earth orbit as part of SpaceX's Transporter-10 Rideshare mission on March 4, 2024 at Vandenberg Space Launch Complex 4 East in California. The mission was a significant milestone for the company.
Sidus' mission and launch team received multiple signals through FCC-approved primary radio frequencies after the successful launch and deployment. They continue to monitor communication with the satellite from their operations center in Merritt Island, Florida. The LizzieSat™ satellite is roughly the size of a mini-fridge and weighs approximately 275 pounds, capable of supporting multiple missions and customers through its single platform.

"This achievement marks the beginning of a new era for Sidus as a satellite manufacturer and operator, demonstrating our capability to provide cutting-edge space hardware while advancing space technology and pioneering data collection."
Two additional LizzieSat™ satellites are expected to be launched later this year from Cape Canaveral Space Launch Complex, providing customized intelligent solutions for industries such as defense, agriculture, maritime, oil, and gas.
The solar panels of the LizzieSat™ satellite are made of aluminum honeycomb composite skin, showcasing advanced material and manufacturing capabilities.
