The China Shanghai Building Materials Expo (CBD FAIR) was born in Guangzhou in 1999, organized by the China Foreign Trade Center, an institution affiliated with the Ministry of Commerce. To meet the needs of enterprises and the market, in 2015, the China Building Materials Expo entered Shanghai and held the "Shanghai Building Materials Expo Shanghai Building Materials Exhibition" at the National Convention and Exhibition Center in Shanghai Hongqiao. The China Shanghai Building Materials Expo (CBD FAIR) has reached a strategic cooperation agreement with Red Star Meikai, announcing that they will jointly operate from 2019 onwards, creating a new exhibition model through strong collaboration, upgrading the China Shanghai Building Materials Expo (CBD FAIR) into an international event with high mission, depth of content, and warmth of detail.

Positioned as an "International High-end Customization Platform", it focuses on the theme of "Boosting New Consumption, Serving New Patterns", presenting three characteristics: new home consumption boost in Hongqiao, layout of the large eastern China market in Hongqiao, and exploration of high-end new trends in Hongqiao. The exhibition covers multiple display categories including high-end customization, trend customization, tiles, sintered stone, coatings, system doors and windows, etc. The exhibition site will host 30 forums and activities.
