The Hamburg International Maritime Expo (SMM) is the most influential trading and technical platform for shipbuilding and maritime industry worldwide. It was first held in 1963 and has been recognized by 96% of exhibitors as the most international and representative exhibition for shipbuilding and marine machinery. The number of exhibitors, buyers, and visitors, as well as the transaction amount, have all seen significant growth every year.

The leading maritime technology companies in Europe are also present, including MAN Energy Solutions, ABB, Kongsberg Maritime, Rolls-Royce, Wärtsilä, Siemens, Mecklenburger Metallguss, Reintjes, among others, who will showcase their innovations at the Hamburg Maritime Exhibition.
